Description

The project is about enhancing Bosch’s access multivendor strategy. The objective is to build a strong partner ecosystem in the field of access control for commercial and public buildings and to strategically integrate cloudbased solutions into our portfolio. A strategic white spot has been identified in the area of cloudbased access control, which is intended to be addressed through suitable partner solutions. To consult for this initiative, we are looking for a business development consultant with expertise in the access control market to contribute strategic development and market analysis. We are seeking a Business development manager for evaluating market potentials in access control systems having the skills: • Strong expertise in business development topics such as benchmarking, market & competitor analysis • Know how in strategy development with the ability to derive and structure strategic recommendations • Experience in Retail or product related businesses in vertical markets • Expertise in the field of access control operated in the cloud • Strong market knowledge in the area of cloudbased access control • Ideally, experience in one or more of the following areas: o Building security o Cloud security platforms o Security integrators / manufacturers Main task/activity: Definition and further development of a multi?vendor strategy for access control solutions for the commercial and public building segment. The work includes the identification of suitable partners and the derivation of strategic action options. Other tasks and activities:

  1. Market and technology analysis- Overview of the market for access control systems, with a particular focus on cloudbased access control solutions- Identification of relevant technology and market trends- Assessment of the positioning of relevant providers and platforms
  2. Customer needs analysis
  • Analysis of typical customer requirements across relevant verticals, such as:Retail, Commercial Buildings, Industrial / Manufacturing, Additional relevant sectors- Evaluation:->Demand for cloudbased access control solutions->Demand for standalone access solutions vs. integrated security platforms->Relevant use cases
  1. Benchmarking of potential partners- Analysis and comparison of potential technology and platform partners- Assessment with regard to: Cloud capability, Integration capability / API strategy, Market position and scalability, Strategic fit
  2. Strategy development- Consulting for the development of a multivendor strategy- Identification and prioritization of potential strategic partners- Derivation of concrete next steps for strategic partnering Expected deliverables:• Structured market and competition overview• Benchmarking of relevant providers• Assessment of customer needs in selected verticals• Strategic recommendations for the multivendor strategy• Proposal for prioritized partners and next steps
