Engineering Docs English-Spanish Translation

Deadline: 2026-04-10
Project-Based

Description

Budget: $250 - $750

I need several engineering-focused technical documents translated from English into Spanish with absolute accuracy. The files include specifications, schematics notes, and installation guidelines; many of them contain domain-specific terminology that must remain precise and consistent across all pages.

The ideal approach is a human translation that preserves the original formatting, tables, and figure captions so the Spanish version can be published without extra desktop-publishing work. CAT tools such as Trados or MemoQ are welcome if they help maintain a clear, reusable terminology base, but machine translation with light post-editing will not be accepted.

Because these are engineering documents, I expect correct use of units, symbols, and any regional variants of Spanish that apply to technical audiences across Latin America. Please flag ambiguities or missing context instead of guessing—clarity is critical for safety-related content.

Deliverables • Final Spanish-language files in the same format as the originals (mostly Word and a few PDFs) • A bilingual terminology list/glossary extracted during the job • One round of revisions after hand-off to address my in-house engineer’s feedback

Acceptance criteria • 100 % of text rendered in fluent, professional Spanish with engineering terminology intact • Layout mirrors the source document; diagrams/images stay aligned • No machine-translation artifacts or style inconsistencies

If this sounds like a solid match for your engineering translation background, let me know your estimated turnaround for approximately 15,000 words and any relevant certifications or projects you can briefly reference.
