Project-Based

Description

Budget: $750 - $1500

I'm looking to build a large sunroom extension onto my home. Onthis this extension I'd like anmadditional bedroom and bathroom.

Design Requirements: Thos home was built in 1890 and was the original farm home for the entire plot which has noe become an entire neighborhood.

  • A blend of modern, traditional, and natural styles.
  • Ideally, we want to keep the home looking as is but with a flair of comtemporary appeal. I would like a greatroom w/ a firepalce and a bedroom + bath as well as an area of out door patio

Ideal Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in deg and building home extensions.
  • Strong understanding of blending different architectural styles.
  • Expertise in incorporating large, aesthetically pleasing windows.

Please share your portfolio and relevant experience.

The area is to include a large living space for entertaining and tv watching. people shoud really get the "WOW" factor by entering this area because of the layout and beauty of the breathtaking windows that allow for the natural beauty of the outdoors. The windows could be linier and stacked to create a cool outdoor image of the addition or large 5 x 7 picture windows. This is an olld home built in the 1890's. This addition will help contemporize the structure with class and elegance. The floor level should be be on the same level as the origiginal interior floor of the home. In order to evade a huge tax increase, I would like to name this addion as a "Two Season Sun Room" There will be a demolition of two "bump out ares of the home. the existing sun room and the back entry area which serves no purpose at all. The new addition will be on the SOUTH side of the home as well as the backside of the home (WEST SIDE) I imagine attaching "I Joist" off the side of the home as well as the existin roof. I also invision a walk out area off the upper master Bedroom area onto a flat portion of the new addition with a wire railing encompassing the area. Hope thats not too confusing.Would also like to utilize 6x6 post on round cement footings to avoid traditional lenthy footings.
