Vintage Animal Visual Art Novel
Description
Budget: $250 - $750
I’m producing a 100-page A4 visual novel that imagines the witty inner monologues of pets and wild animals against a 1930s backdrop. The look I need is pure black-and-white, evoking classic newspaper strips yet pushed further with highly detailed, cartoonish line work and rich background cross-hatching.
All dialogue, panel layouts, and rough concept sketches will come from me; your role is to turn each page into finished, print-ready artwork. Expect recurring dogs, cats, elephants, zebras, ferrets and other city-roaming critters, all drawn with expressive faces and slapstick energy. Architecture, vintage vehicles, smoky jazz bars, and bustling streets set the scene, so background consistency and period accuracy are essential.
Deliverables per page • Final grayscale illustration at A4, 300 dpi (PSD or layered TIFF)
If this sounds like your jam, let me know your price per page, how many pages you can comfortably complete each month, and a link to comparable black-and-white sequential work. Looking forward to teaming up and bringing these chatty animals to life.
