Property Search & Underwriting Script

Budget: $30 - $250

I need a clean, well-documented script that can scan major U.S. property data sources (MLS feeds, Zillow, Redfin API, public tax records or any reliable alternative you prefer) and instantly surface deals that match my buy box. The search must let me set and change these filters in real time: location, price range, property type, distressed / foreclosed / pre-foreclosed status, co-living potential and overall property condition.

Once a listing meets those parameters the same script should underwrite it automatically—pull rent comps, calculate projected NOI, cap rate, cash-on-cash and simple IRR, then package the results in both a downloadable spreadsheet and a JSON payload so I can drop the file straight into my CRM. Editable assumption cells for vacancy, expense ratio, financing terms and exit cap are essential so I can fine-tune scenarios on the fly.

I am language-agnostic, though Python (Pandas, Requests, BeautifulSoup or Selenium for scraping, plus Jupyter for quick tweaks) or JavaScript with Node and relevant SDKs would be easiest for me to maintain. If an official API is required I will provide keys; otherwise build a scraper that respects rate limits and challenges.

Deliverables: • Full source code with clear in-line comments • Setup guide and requirements.txt / package.json • Example CSV, JSON and underwriting worksheet generated from a live run • A short Loom or written walkthrough showing the tool in action

Acceptance criteria: the script returns at least five qualifying properties for a sample metro area search and completes the underwriting calculations in under two minutes on a standard laptop.

Not very familiar with claude. Will need help setting up and running as well. Must provide troubleshooting for a period as well.
