Panning Images & Panic Stories
Description
Budget: ₹600 - ₹1500
I’m curating a small publication that weaves together two sides of “panic photography”: the dynamic, motion-blurred look achieved through panning, and the very real surge of panic many of us feel when lifting a camera toward an un-expecting subject.
What I need from you • A set of striking, rights-cleared example photographs that demonstrate textbook panning technique. Show the subject razor-sharp against a streaked background—think cyclists, cars, runners, even animals—shot in daylight or at night. Please supply at least five finished JPEGs (3000 px short edge minimum) along with brief captions that mention shutter speed, focal length, and why the frame works.
• Three to five first-person stories (300–500 words each) describing moments when anxiety, fear, or adrenaline kicked in while shooting, especially on the street. I’m after honest reflections: What triggered the fear? How did it affect the shot? Did you push through or back off? Any takeaways for fellow photographers?
How I’ll review the work
- Images must clearly illustrate motion blur from panning, not simple camera shake.
- Narratives should read authentically, free of generic tips or recycled blog advice.
Everything is destined for a single PDF/online article, so consistent voice and cohesive visual style will be valued. If you have both compelling shots and real stories to share, you’re exactly who I want to collaborate with.
