We are looking for an experienced developer or development team to design and build a custom production management and material ordering system for a manufacturing company specialising in machinery and conveyor production.
ABOUT THE PROJECT The system needs to cover the following areas: • Work time registration per order and per machining cell • Production planning with operation sequencing (e.g. cutting → turning → galvanizing) and shipping deadline tracking • Semi-finished goods tracking and handover between production stages • Warehouse management for standard and commercial parts with stock visibility • Excel import for order structures with automatic production order creation • Technical documentation integration — linking component names directly to drawing files • Material ordering with consolidated purchase lists, material index database, and supplier group assignment
The solution must be simple and intuitive for factory floor workers, and built with future scalability in mind.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR • Proven experience with manufacturing or production management systems • Experience with Odoo, ERPNext, or similar ERP platforms is a strong advantage — please indicate whether you recommend building on an existing platform or from scratch, and why • Ability to clearly document and demonstrate progress at each stage
PROJECT STRUCTURE This project will be broken into clearly defined milestones. Each milestone will be paid upon completion and live demonstration of the delivered functionality. The client's preference is to make payments only once working results are visible — we are not looking for large upfront payments. This is a fully remote engagement.
