Bootstrap JavaScript Game Site Overhaul -- 2
Description
Budget: $250 - $750
I have an existing browser-based game written in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Bootstrap that has grown a little messy over time. My main goal is to fix the current issues rather than pile on new bells and whistles. Right now game-play breaks in unexpected places, multiplayer rooms don’t always sync, and scores occasionally vanish from the leaderboard. Wanting to finalize before wrapping.
The priority is therefore squarely on game functionality. I need a clean, well-structured rebuild that preserves the visual style while giving me reliable, maintainable code. A fresh pass through the HTML markup, modular JavaScript, and updated Bootstrap classes should leave me with something that is easy to extend later.
Key problem areas you’ll tackle: • Game logic errors (timers, collision detection, win conditions) • Multiplayer features (socket/peer communication, room management) • Scoring and leaderboards (persistent, tamper-proof, real-time updates)
Please plan to work in a separate branch of my Git repo so I can review commits as you progress. Hand-off is complete when the rebuilt site runs smoothly across modern browsers, all tests pass, and the codebase is neatly commented. If you have questions about the existing structure or want a quick screen-share walkthrough before diving in, let me know and I’ll set it up.
