Ergonomic Industrial Design Upgrade
Description
Budget: $250 - $750
I run a small manufacturing unit and I’m ready to refine one of our core products. The goal is clear: deliver an industrial design that measurably improves user experience, with a strong emphasis on ergonomics. Functionality is already solid; now I need a form factor and interaction flow that feel natural in the user’s hands and body.
What I need from you • Analyse the current product and pinpoint pain points in posture, reach, grip and overall ease of use. • Propose ergonomic enhancements backed by quick sketches or wireframes to confirm direction. • Translate the approved concept into a detailed 3D CAD model (SolidWorks, Fusion 360 or a comparable package) ready for manufacturing. • Supply exploded views, STEP/DWG drawings, and a brief rationale explaining key ergonomic decisions. • Optional but welcome: photorealistic renders for stakeholder demos.
Key points • Focus area: Industrial design → User experience optimisation → Ergonomics. • The product will be produced in-house, so your files must fit standard machining and injection-moulding workflows. • I’m happy to collaborate iteratively; two refinement rounds are already factored in.
If you’re skilled at turning real-world usability insights into manufacturable designs, I’d love to see your portfolio and discuss next steps.
