Polarion Configuration & Automation Scripts

Budget: $25 - $50/hr

Our Siemens Polarion ALM server is already up and running, but the current configuration is still mostly out-of-the-box. I need an expert who can jump straight into the existing setup, fine-tune it, and introduce automation scripts that remove the manual steps my team is still performing.

Here’s what has to happen: • Analyse the present project structure, workflows, permissions, and templates and then adjust them so they match our real-world development process. • Design and implement Polarion automation scripts (using the built-in API, JavaScript or Velocity—whatever best fits) to auto-populate work items, trigger status changes, and generate alerts based on predefined rules. • Document every change clearly inside Polarion so future admins understand what was done and why. • Walk me through the new configuration once it’s ready, answering any “how do we …?” questions so the team can adopt it without friction.

Acceptance criteria: the updated configuration must deploy cleanly to our test project, the automation scripts must run without errors in both test and production repositories, and all documentation must be delivered in a single, version-controlled archive.

If you’ve previously tuned existing Polarion instances rather than only green-field installs, this will feel familiar. I’m ready to provide remote access to the server and schedule short feedback sessions so we can iterate quickly.
