Looking for researcher to help with writing Scopus-level Paper (AI / Digital Twin / Maritime Systems)

Deadline: 2026-04-04

Description

Budget: $250 - $750

Hello,

I am looking for an experienced academic researcher (PhD level or equivalent) to support the development of a high-quality research paper intended for submission to reputable journals (Scopus / Web of Science indexed).

Topic Overview

The paper will focus on the development of a Digital Twin-enabled platform for maritime fleet management, combining:

Digital Twin systems Big Data and AI Predictive maintenance Human (crew) factors

The core idea is to move beyond traditional approaches where:

equipment and maintenance are modeled separately, crew-related factors are ignored, Digital Twin systems do not account for human influence.

Instead, the paper should propose a conceptual and architectural framework where:

crew behavior, experience, and operational patterns are integrated into predictive maintenance and fleet management through a Digital Twin and data-driven approach.

Key Direction

The research should demonstrate:

how human factors (crew) can influence equipment degradation and operational risk how this can be modeled within a Digital Twin environment how AI and data-driven methods can improve predictive maintenance decisions how this contributes to more efficient and sustainable fleet operations

This is not a simple literature review — the paper must include a clear novel contribution, system architecture, and modeling approach.

Expected Scope 7000–8000 words Conceptual + architectural + modeling paper Use of simulation and/or synthetic data is acceptable (with proper justification) Inclusion of diagrams (system architecture, data flow, etc.) Target Journals

The paper is intended for submission to reputable journals such as:

Ocean Engineering (Elsevier) Reliability Engineering & System Safety Relevant IEEE journals

Only legitimate, indexed journals (Scopus / WoS) — no predatory journals.

Requirements Strong academic writing experience (Scopus / IEEE / Elsevier level) Background in AI / systems engineering / maritime / industrial analytics Experience writing research papers (not blog-style content) Ability to structure a paper with clear novelty and contribution

Nice to Have Experience with Digital Twin / IoT / predictive maintenance Publications in relevant journals
