Organize Textbooks & Merge Videos
Description
Budget: $240 - $2000
I have two parallel batches of study material that need tidying up so my students and I can locate everything in seconds.
First, a folder of PDF textbooks: your task XXXX XXXX open each book, pull out every exercise question, and group those questions by the chapter they appear in. I do not need summaries, definitions, or anything else—just the exercises, laid out in chapter order exactly as they sit in the book. The final set can be delivered as either one master PDF or individual chapter-based files; whichever keeps the formatting cleanest is fine with me.
Second, a collection of short MP4 lecture clips: each file already carries chapter information in its metadata. Using that data, stitch the clips together so that every chapter ends up as a single seamless video. I do not want title-slide detection or manual guessing; trust the metadata. When the merges are complete, rename both the new videos and the source PDFs to the same clear convention we agree on (e.g., “Book-Name_Chapter-01” or similar) so everything lines up perfectly in my drive.
Deliverables • A well-formatted document (or set of documents) containing only the textbook exercise questions, ordered by chapter • One merged MP4 per chapter, rendered without quality loss • All source and final files renamed to the agreed convention
If you’re comfortable automating parts of this with Acrobat, Python, FFmpeg, or similar tools, you’ll finish quickly, but any reliable workflow works for me. Accurate extraction and clean, chapter-true organization are the key success markers for this project.
