New-Yorker Style City Illustration

I would like an illustration that echoes the iconic “New Yorker’s View of the World” cover—wry, panoramic and a little bit tongue-in-cheek. The subject will be a Cityscape af a little city. Therefore I’ll supply a couple of similar drawinggs and a commented screenshot of 3D Google earth-view of the town I'd like to see in the drawing to tell the wanted perspective. Ill also mark the most important buildings and streets, that should be drawn recognizable. Use further satellite photos as you like. You can capture key landmarks from this while exaggerating scale and perspective in that unmistakable magazine style. As I live in that town i also can deliver actual detailled fotos.

Please keep the line work clean and confident, balance humour with recognisability, and use a restrained colour palette typical of classic New Yorker covers. I'd like to receive your work as a high-resolution digital file (vector and 600-dpi TIFF/PNG) will be the final hand-off with all right to use it; A layered file is a bonus.
