Part-Time AI/ML Engineer Needed
Description
Budget: $250 - $750
I’m looking for a reliable engineer who can take ownership of building brand-new machine-learning models while working on a flexible, part-time schedule. The work cuts across Natural Language Processing, Computer Vision, and Predictive Analytics, so you should be equally comfortable tokenising text with Hugging Face Transformers, refining CNNs in PyTorch or TensorFlow, and stitching together tabular insights with scikit-learn or XGBoost.
Your day-to-day will revolve around three core activities: first, preparing and augmenting raw data so it is truly model-ready; second, experimenting, training, and hyper-tuning fresh architectures; and finally, packaging the winning models into production-grade services—Docker or serverless—complete with monitoring hooks. My primary goal is to see brand-new models that outperform heuristic baselines and can be deployed with a single command.
Clean, well-commented code in a private Git repo, concise technical notes, and reproducible training pipelines will serve as acceptance criteria. If you enjoy end-to-end ownership and can commit a consistent number of hours each week, I’d love to hear how you would approach the first sprint.
