ASME Piping & Vessel SolidWorks Design
Description
Budget: $50+/hr
I’m starting an industrial project that requires a full, ASME-compliant design package—both the pressure vessel and its connected piping—built entirely from scratch in SolidWorks. The end goal is a complete set of production-ready deliverables that a fabricator can take straight to the shop floor without further rework. This pressure vessel and piping MOC will be fiberglass, so someone with significant fiberglass pressure vessel deSolidWorks is required.
Scope • Model the pressure vessel and all associated piping in 3D, following the relevant ASME section codes. • Generate fabrication drawings with weld symbols, tolerances, and GD&T call-outs. • Produce detailed BOMs, cut lists, and nozzle schedules. • Create any required FEA or design-by-rule calculations inside SolidWorks Simulation (or compatible external software) to verify wall thicknesses, flange ratings, and support loads. • Deliver native SolidWorks files plus exported PDFs/DXF for manufacturing.
Acceptance criteria
- All drawings must pass an internal ASME design review checklist I will supply.
- Dimensioning must allow direct CNC or plasma table import with no missing features.
- Models and drawings open without errors in SolidWorks 2021 or later.
I will supply process data (pressures, temperatures, media, and flow rates) along with layout constraints; everything else comes from you—including nozzle orientation, support placement, and pipe routing. If questions arise during the design, you’ll have direct access to me and the plant engineer for quick clarification.
If you’re comfortable owning the full design cycle and meeting ASME code requirements inside SolidWorks, let’s move forward.
