Overview

We are seeking an experienced Tauri developer to package our AI-powered meeting and transcription platform into a secure, production-ready desktop application for macOS and Windows. The existing application is built as a web app using Supabase and modern web technologies. The goal is to deliver a lightweight, high-performance desktop experience with reliable recording and native OS integrations.

Scope

Wrap the existing web application using Tauri with a secure WebView Configure secure IPC between the frontend and the Tauri backend Implement installers for macOS (.app/.dmg) and Windows (.exe/.msi) Enable native desktop notifications Prevent system sleep during active recordings Set up auto-updates using the Tauri updater Configure CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions Handle code g and macOS notarization Provide documentation and deployment instructions

Phase 2 — Polish (Nice to Have / Fast Follow)

Auto-update mechanism using Tauri Updater CI/CD pipeline with GitHub Actions Documentation and deployment instructions Optional enhancements: Global hotkeys for start/stop recording Native notifications for recording and summary completion Prevent system sleep during recording sessions

Technical Requirements

Proven experience building desktop apps with Tauri (preferred) or Electron Strong proficiency in Rust, TypeScript, and modern web frameworks Experience with audio capture and processing: macOS Screen Capture Kit / Core Audio Windows WASAPI loopback Experience with secure IPC and WebView configuration Familiarity with Supabase, REST APIs, and streaming architectures Experience with macOS code g, notarization, and Windows installers Experience setting up CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions preferred)
