Pastel Balloon Decorating Warehouse Event

I will be turning a large, empty warehouse near Adelaide’s CBD into the backdrop for a special birthday on Sunday, 22 November. The party runs from 2 pm

• 6 pm, and the only access we have is from first thing that morning, so everything needs to be in place and photo-ready no later than 1:30 pm.

The brief is simple but time-critical: fill the space with pastel-coloured balloons and matching streamers so the edges of the warehouse feel lively, welcoming and cohesive the moment guests walk in. I picture clusters and garlands running along the inside walls, soft curves around any pillars, and a few statement balloon arrangements that can double as photo spots. No florals or complex lighting—just a consistent, airy pastel palette that brightens the industrial interior without overpowering it.

You’ll be responsible for: • Supplying all balloons, streamers, tape, weights and helium (if using floating elements) in coordinated pastel shades (I have researched some garland arrangements, and they are quite cheap on sites like Shein, for example, with a Happy Birthday banner, more so than streamers. One garland arrangement had a lovely vine look going through it (only $10) • Installing the décor on the morning of the event and ensuring it stays secure for the full four-hour party • Removing any offcuts and packaging so the venue is tidy before guests arrive

Acceptance criteria: • Decorations cover the inside edges evenly, leaving clear walkways and fire exits • Colour palette remains strictly pastel (no primary brights) • Setup finished by 13:30 on 22 November and requires no further attention during the event
