Animator Needed for Children's Book Trailer

Project-Based

Description

I’m currently looking to collaborate with a skilled animator to create a 20–30 second 2D animated trailer for my children’s book, Zara and the Boogie Man. This trailer is not meant to feel like a traditional cartoon or a horror piece. Instead, it should feel emotional, grounded, and relatable, capturing how bullying feels from a child’s perspective. I have developed a clear storyboard and creative direction. The concept follows a young girl navigating an uncomfortable school environment, where her fear is visually represented through subtle, symbolic elements (such as shadow silhouettes). The goal is to show how fear can feel overwhelming, while ultimately shifting toward confidence and self-empowerment. Key creative direction: Style: Kid-friendly, expressive, and emotionally driven Tone: Realistic with light symbolic elements (not scary or exaggerated) Animation: Smooth transitions, subtle movement, and strong facial/body expressions Audience: Children ages 8+ and families I will provide: Full storyboard and scene breakdown Book cover and character references Clear creative direction and messaging I am looking for someone who can bring this vision to life while also contributing creatively where needed. Please share: Your portfolio or relevant work samples Pricing and package details Estimated timeline for completion I’m excited to collaborate and create something meaningful and impactful. Thank you, Budget: USD 250–750 Skills: Graphic Design, Animation, Illustration, Caricature & Cartoons, 3D Animation, Video Production, Video Editing, 2D Animation
