Bangladesh Mahogany Export Liaison

Coordinating the sourcing and export of Bangladeshi mahogany products to the UK is my immediate priority and I need someone on the ground in Bangladesh who has already navigated CITES permit paperwork for regulated timber. Your first-hand experience with CITES is non-negotiable; securing and managing that permit will be the most challenging aspect of the assignment and the area where I expect you to take the lead.

My preference is to work with known exporters that already have international experience, so part of your role will be to confirm their credibility, verify the species and legality of the wood, and negotiate terms that keep us fully compliant with both Bangladeshi and UK regulations.

• Identify reliable, CITES-compliant manufacturers or exporters • Oversee the CITES export permit applications from start to finish • Prepare the supporting export documentation (commercial invoice, packing list, etc.) • Liaise with freight forwarders, book the shipment, and share tracking details • Stay in constant communication with me in clear English so I can update customers on timelines Budget: GBP 20–250 Skills: Project Management, Data Entry, Research, Research Writing, Logistics, Market Research, Risk Management, Documentation, Sourcing, International Shipping
