WordPress Template Customization

I’m ready to take my existing WordPress theme beyond its stock look and need a skilled hand to shape it into a polished, brand-aligned site. The brief is open-ended on purpose: I want thoughtful improvements to layout, visuals, and any behind-the-scenes functionality that will make the site faster, cleaner, and easier to navigate.

Here’s what I expect at completion: • A customised child theme (or equivalent safe method) so core updates never overwrite the work • Refined page templates, widgets, and menus that feel purposeful rather than “off-the-shelf” • A cohesive colour palette and typography set that runs consistently across every page • Mobile-first responsiveness verified on modern browsers and common devices • Clean, well-commented CSS/PHP with a short hand-off document outlining changes

I currently publish mainly written content but will add visuals and light e-commerce down the line, so please keep the structure flexible.

If you’re comfortable working with popular builders (Gutenberg, Elementor, or similar) and know your way around hooks, actions, and theme files, we’ll be on the same wavelength. Let me see examples of past customisations, and feel free to suggest any plugin solutions you think would streamline performance or editing.
