Illustrative Metal EP Cover

I’m commissioning the cover art for my band’s upcoming EP and want an illustrative, highly detailed piece that fuses Ancient Greek iconography with a gritty modern vibe. Picture a comic-book-styled Greek hero—think flowing robes, dynamic anatomy, bold ink lines—set against a modern city skyline where columns, friezes, and worn marble statues jut from glass towers and neon signs. The composition should feel cinematic and powerful enough to carry the raw intensity of a metal release while still reading clearly at thumbnail size on streaming platforms.

Key things I’d like captured • A single central figure: an ancient Greek warrior or deity reimagined as a comic character, front and center, exuding movement and attitude with glowing white eyes and an angry expression. • Environment: a modern cityscape that seamlessly incorporates Greek architectural details—cracked pillars, broken pediments, graffiti of the bands logo nearby • Palette: daek, desaturated base tones punched up with controlled, luminous highlights to pull the eye.

Deliverables • Final front-cover artwork in 3000×3000 px, 300 dpi PNG or TIFF. • Layered PSD or Procreate file so we can adapt the design for merch and social media teasers. • A flattened JPG no larger than 5 MB for digital distribution uploads.

Acceptance criteria

1. The comic-style Greek figure and modern backdrop are both clearly recognizable.
2. Overall piece remains crisp and legible when scaled down to 200×200 px.
3. Color and contrast translate well to both dark-mode and light-mode streaming players.
