China Market Setup for Mailriva

Project-Based

Description

I run Mailriva, a desktop application for email migration, backup, and archiving, and I’m preparing a lean first step for Mainland China. I already have a draft Chinese-language website and some early localisation work, but before investing further I would like practical input from someone with hands-on China market experience.

What I need right now:

  • Review my current China-facing website and point out the most important improvements for a simple, low-budget start.
  • Advise on Baidu-related basics, including account setup options, sitemap/indexing, and the most relevant first SEO steps.
  • Suggest whether WeChat or any other channel would make sense as an initial presence for this kind of software product.
  • Provide brief, practical guidance on what to prioritise first and what can wait.

At this stage, I am not looking for a large campaign or agency-style engagement. I want to start with a small paid project focused on the basics and a clear first-step roadmap.

If you have practical experience with Baidu, China-facing website setup, localisation, or early channel recommendations for foreign software products, please let me know:

  • your background and focus areas
  • whether you have worked with foreign products before
  • your hourly or fixed rate
  • your availability

If the initial collaboration goes well, there may be follow-up implementation work. Budget: USD 30–250 Skills: Internet Marketing, SEO, Link Building, Marketing, Market Research, Digital Marketing, Baidu
