High-Clump Bentonite Litter Formula

I’m developing a new bentonite-based cat litter and need a formulator who can maximise clumping ability without sacrificing overall product stability. Your task XXXX XXXX engineer a recipe—complete with carrier clay selection, moisture profile, and additive package—that delivers fast, firm clumps, breaks down minimally in transit, and pours with a low-medium dust plume.

I operate under basic environmental and health expectations: no heavy-metal contamination, fragrances must be pet-safe, and airborne respirable dust should remain comfortably below common household exposure limits. Beyond that, you’ll have creative freedom to choose binders, odor neutralisers, or grain size distributions that best achieve the clumping target.

Please share examples of past formulations or related R&D work you’ve done in the litter, absorbent, or mineral processing space. I’m especially interested in data showing clump strength, liquid absorption rates, or consumer feedback you helped gather.
