Jira Workflow Rules Consultant

I run all of our projects in Jira and need a fresh set of expert eyes on one very specific area: workflow rules and conditions. The overall workflow structure is drafted, but the details that make it reliable—validators, conditions, post-functions, and the right automation—still need to be wired up, tested, and documented.

Here’s what I need from you:

• Translate the draft workflow into Jira, adding the necessary rules so that every transition enforces permissions, required fields, and automated notifications. • Work in a staging project first, then help me promote the finished workflow to production. • Provide a concise hand-off document plus a short walk-through call so my in-house team can maintain and duplicate the setup later.

Acceptance criteria: all transitions pass the test cases I supply; required fields are enforced; status changes fire the correct automation without error.

We’re on Jira Cloud and make regular use of built-in Automation and ScriptRunner, so experience with those is a plus. Once this piece is solid I may circle back for help with dashboards or user management, but the immediate focus is workflow customization.
