3D Printable Boat & Figure Model
Description
I have a set of reference photos showing a small open boat with a person standing at the bow. I need that scene translated into a watertight, print-ready 3D model scaled so the hull is roughly 200 mm long. The aesthetic I’m after is medium detail—clean hull lines, railings, motor and key deck elements, but nothing microscopic that will vanish on an FDM or resin print.
File format: STEP is essential for my workflow; if you can also export an STL for a quick slicer check, that would be helpful but not strictly required.
Printing considerations • The boat and the standing figure should be separate solids so I can decide whether to print them together or individually. • All parts must be manifold, with wall thicknesses suitable for consumer-grade printers (0.8 mm minimum thickness)
Deliverables
- Boat hull/assembly in STEP (and optionally STL) at 200 mm length.
- Human figure as a separate STEP (and STL) file, already scaled for the scene.
- A quick viewport screenshot or PDF explaining suggested print orientation or assembly points.
Once I can drop the files into Fusion 360 and see everything error-free in the inspector, the job is complete. Budget: USD 30–250 Skills: CAD/CAM, 3D Rendering, Solidworks, 3D Modelling, 3D Design, 3D CAD, 3D Visualization, 3D Print Design
