Steel Wall UPS Enclosure CAD

Project-Based

Description

I need a complete CAD design for a wall-mounted UPS enclosure fabricated from steel. I already sketched rough exterior measurements, but they are only approximate; I’m counting on you to validate clearances, wall-mounting geometry, airflow, cable routing, and door swing before we lock anything down.

The enclosure will house a small-to-mid-size online UPS plus batteries, so thermal management and service access are important. Weight distribution, bracket sizing, and sheet-metal bend allowances must be called out in the model. If you have experience deg NEMA-style or IP-rated boxes, let me know—those best-practice details (gasket grooves, drip edges, earth-stud locations) will likely transfer well here.

I’m working in SolidWorks 2022 but STEP and DXF files are fine for hand-off to my fabricator. Please annotate material thickness, fastener specs, and any off-the-shelf hardware such as hinges or latches you intend to use.

Deliverables I’d like back: • Dimensioned fabrication drawings (metric) • Flat-pattern DXF or DWG for laser cutting • Simple BOM listing material, hardware, and finishes

The project wraps once the model is ready for factory quote and I’ve verified fit with my UPS. Let me know how many design-review iterations you typically plan for so I can schedule sign-off.
