Our client is a growing SaaS company who are growing their engineering teams to develop a suite of new AI powered products. They are looking for an experienced DevOps engineer to join their team.

You’re more than a DevOps engineer—you’re a builder, problem-solver, and continuous learner who enjoys shipping meaningful products. In this role, you’ll help shape and operate our infrastructure, ensuring it remains stable, reliable, and highly optimized. You’ll play a key role in enabling teams to move fast with confidence.

What You’ll Do

• Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

Own and evolve both low- and high-level infrastructure using a fully GitOps-driven, Kubernetes-native approach. Our stack includes Flux2, Crossplane, and a mix of first- and third-party Kubernetes operators.- Kubernetes Operations

Operate and scale microservices architectures on Kubernetes, and support product teams with application deployments and best practices.- Cluster Management

Provision, upgrade, and maintain Kubernetes clusters using kOps and Cluster API.- AWS Cloud Infrastructure

Manage cloud resources on AWS with Crossplane and Terraform.- CI/CD Pipelines

Design, build, and maintain fast, reliable CI pipelines using GitHub Actions to support frequent and safe releases.- Observability & Telemetry

Implement and refine monitoring, tracing, and profiling to ensure application health and performance. Our tooling includes Prometheus, Grafana, Jaeger, and Pyroscope.- Incident Management & Troubleshooting

Lead incident response, perform root cause analysis, and drive system recovery and long-term improvements.- Platform Optimization

Continuously improve the platform through cost optimization, security enhancements, and better developer experience.

What We’re Looking For

• Strong Kubernetes Expertise

At least 3 years of hands-on experience with Kubernetes. You understand its internals and operational best practices.- Ownership Mentality

You treat the platform as a product for developers and users, taking responsibility for what you build and operate.- Kafka Experience (Nice to Have)

Familiarity with Kafka in a microservices environment is a plus. We use the Strimzi Kafka Operator to manage our clusters.- Controller Development (Nice to Have)

Experience building or maintaining Kubernetes controllers in Go, including developing custom controllers from scratch.- Pragmatic Engineering Mindset

You focus on building systems that are reliable, understandable, and easy for others to use and maintain.
