About the role Paid Marketing is a core driver of our growth and profitability, operating at scale across multiple markets and channels. We are now taking the next step by building a stronger in-house capability with greater ownership of both strategy and execution.

As Paid Marketing Manager, your mission is to own and improve SEM, Affiliate, Retargeting, Display and new channel performances while also building the in-house setup around it. This is a player-coach role where you are expected to work hands-on in our accounts while also leading and developing a team over time.

You will step into a setup that is large-scale, complex and highly customized. We are looking for someone who is curious by nature, energized by complexity and thrives in a fast-changing environment where identifying and acting on opportunities is key. Parts of the operation are currently supported by consultants and the structure is built around real business opportunities rather than textbook best practice. To succeed, you need to be comfortable going deep into the details, understanding how performance is driven today and gradually building on that foundation to unlock further improvements.

In this role, you will:

  • Own SEM, Affiliates and other channel performance across 40+ markets and 200+ sites with full responsibility for results
  • Work hands-on with campaigns, bidding, and account structure
  • Gradually bring more ownership in-house and reduce dependency on external partners
  • Build, lead and coach a high-performing team
  • Define how we work: processes, priorities and collaboration across teams and departments
  • Drive continuous testing and improvements to unlock further growth

You will be working on one of the largest and most complex Paid Marketing programs globally in the travel space. Precision, automation, ownership, and execution directly impact real business outcomes and you will be working on programs at the bleeding edge of modern marketing and technology.

RequirementsYou bring:
  • Strong attention to detail: You operate with a level of precision where small inconsistencies do not go unnoticed. You understand that in a setup with millions in monthly spend, minor errors can have significant financial consequences. At the same time, you are able to identify missed opportunities across highly granular structures involving thousands of destinations, airlines, and competitors.
  • Proven experience managing high spend, high complexity Paid Marketing: You have hands-on experience managing large scale accounts with substantial budgets and complex structures. You are comfortable working across hundreds of accounts and hundreds of thousands campaigns and ad groups, and you understand how to scale performance through structured, long tail driven setups rather than relying on simplified approaches.
  • Exceptional analytical and numerical capability: You are highly fluent in working with data. You can navigate large datasets, interpret performance patterns, and quickly identify both growth opportunities and underlying issues. Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets is required, and you are comfortable working with performance dashboards and translating data into action.
  • Strong understanding of automation, tools, and scripting: You have a solid understanding of how modern Paid Marketing operations are built and managed through automation. Experience with Javascript and Python and Marketing APIs is required, as you will be working closely with and developing tools that generate, manage, and optimize large scale campaign structures. You comfortably work across AI tools and APIs to leverage cutting-edge automation through agentic AI, development, production and campaign management. You are able to understand how systems interact and can be improved, not just how to use them.
  • Ability to operate in highly granular and non standardized environments: You thrive in complexity. You are comfortable working in setups that are not fully standardized, where structure is built around real business opportunities rather than theory. You are able to bring clarity, consistency, and performance improvements without oversimplifying the setup.
  • Leadership at a high level: You have experience leading and developing strong Paid Marketing teams. You set a high bar for execution and accountability, and you are capable of attracting, hiring, and retaining top tier talent. You lead by example, combining hands-on execution with clear direction.
  • Strong stakeholder management across functions: You are able to build trust and alignment across a wide range of stakeholders, including metasearch, airlines, e-commerce, payments, customer service, and senior management. You communicate clearly, manage expectations, and ensure that Paid Marketing is fully integrated into the broader business.
  • Ownership and accountability: You take full responsibility for performance and outcomes. You are proactive, structured, and driven by continuous improvement. You do not wait for direction when issues arise, you take initiative and act.
