The Role
As a B2C Payments Cost Analyst, your main responsibilities will be to ensure that all payment-related costs are in line with partner contracts and global payment standards. You will be required to be up to date with industry practices/regulations, identify risk areas, propose improvements to the payment set up and ensure that all cost-related terms and conditions are accurately applied and optimised.
You will be located in Athens and will be part of the Etraveli Group's Fintech department.
Responsibilities
- Perform weekly/monthly analysis to ensure set KPI benchmarks are met and provide feedback to the relevant stakeholders.
- Review payment provider contracts and introduce necessary controls to ensure target accomplishment and cost optimization.
- Maintain financial models for forecasting and performance evaluation, supporting month-end processes.
- Be up-to-date with Schemes new regulations as well as Payment industry’s news.
- Review and verify Invoices & Reports, ensuring that contractual & Scheme obligations are met.
- Monitor and report on recurring cost controls in Invoices, including areas for improvement
- Propose new processes or tool improvements in order to maximize efficiency and cost benefits.
- Manage large amounts of data in order to identify areas of risk and initiate ad-hoc analysis
- Collaborate with the accounting operations team to ensure accurate and up-to-date filling systems.
- Support the on-boarding of new payment products/options as well as of new providers.
Requirements
- Approximately 2-3 years of working experience in a similar position
- Experience/knowledge of the digital payments area will be considered a plus.
- Strong understanding of accounting processes and financial data analysis
- Degree in Finance or Economics
- Experience in large data analysis under a top down/ bottom up approach
- Advanced experience with MS office (especially excel)/ Familiar with reporting solutions (e.g. Qliksense, Looker, Python etc) will be highly appreciated.
- Strong numerical & organizational skills combined with business understanding
- Data driven/360 view thinking along with strong critical, analytical and investigation skills
- Ability to prioritize and effectively handle multiple projects under a minimum supervision and honor deadlines
- Self-motivated with ability to take ownership in a fast growing environment
- Ability to act proactively, take initiatives and pay attention to detail
- Very strong communication skills, can-do approach & excellent command of the English language
- High level of responsibility & integrity combined with eagerness to work in a multicultural, international environment subject to continuous changes
