Job PurposeEtraveli Group is actively piloting and scaling agentic AI across the organisation, in software engineering, finance, sales analytics, and beyond. This role exists to bridge the gap between AI capability and business value: identifying the right opportunities, rapidly prototyping solutions, and ensuring every initiative is grounded in clear logic and measurable outcomes.

As AI Business Analyst, you will be a hands-on contributor; building proof-of-concepts using LLM APIs and agentic frameworks, participating in AI architecture discussions, and translating what is technically possible into what is actually worth doing. You will work closely with the Senior Director of Data & BI and collaborate with engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders across the organisation.

This is not a purely analytical role. The right person writes code, builds things quickly, and knows when a prototype is good enough to validate an idea. They are equally comfortable in a whiteboard session on AI architecture and presenting a business case to a CFO. The role can be based in Stockholm or Uppsala.

Duties and Responsibilities Use Case Identification & Business Cases

  • Identify and evaluate opportunities for agentic AI and automation across business functions (e.g. finance reconciliation, sales analytics, internal tooling)
  • Build structured business cases — framing the problem, quantifying the opportunity, and defining what success looks like
  • Work with business teams to translate their operational pain points into well-scoped AI problems

Measurement & Tracking

  • Define KPIs and measurement frameworks for AI pilots and production deployments
  • Design and maintain tracking dashboards to monitor performance and efficiency gains of active AI initiatives
  • Synthesise pilot results and learnings into clear summaries for leadership
  • Flag underperforming initiatives early and recommend adjustments

Proof-of-Concept Development

  • Rapidly build working prototypes for AI use cases using LLM APIs (Claude, OpenAI, Gemini), agentic frameworks, and integration tooling
  • Scope PoCs tightly to answer a specific feasibility or value question, not to build production systems
  • Document what was tested, what worked, and what the limitations are; hand off clearly to engineering teams when a PoC is ready to productionise
  • Stay current on the evolving LLM and agentic AI landscape and bring relevant capabilities to the attention of the team

AI Architecture Support

  • Participate in architecture discussions for AI initiatives, contributing a business and product perspective on design decisions
  • Evaluate architectural trade-offs (e.g. RAG vs fine-tuning, agent orchestration patterns, API vs embedded tooling) from the lens of what the business actually needs
  • Help define data requirements, integration points, and guardrails for AI systems being built by engineering teams
  • Contribute to the development of internal AI operating principles and governance standards

AI Change Management & Adoption

  • Support the organisation's transition to working with LLMs and agentic AI tools — helping teams move from curiosity to confident, productive use
  • Develop and deliver lightweight enablement materials, guides, and best practices that help non-technical teams understand and adopt AI tools effectively
  • Act as an internal resource for teams navigating questions about what LLMs can and cannot do, when to use them, and how to work with them safely
  • Help define and communicate responsible AI usage principles across business functions, in collaboration with leadership
  • Identify adoption blockers — whether cultural, practical, or technical — and work with stakeholders to address them
  • Track and report on AI maturity across the organisation, surfacing insights that help leadership prioritise enablement efforts

Qualifications / Personal Characteristics Must Have

  • 3–5 years in a business analyst, data analyst, or technical product role
  • Hands-on experience building with LLM APIs — you have written prompts, called APIs, and built something that works
  • Comfort with Python or a similar language at a prototyping level — not production engineering, but enough to build and iterate quickly
  • Understanding of how modern AI systems are architected — agents, tool use, retrieval-augmented generation, orchestration patterns
  • Strong analytical and communication skills — able to build rigorous business cases and present findings clearly to senior stakeholders
  • Self-sufficient and structured — able to scope ambiguous problems, drive them to a conclusion, and manage multiple workstreams

Nice to Have

  • Experience with the Gemini API (Claude), OpenAI API, or similar; familiarity with frameworks like LangChain, LlamaIndex, or the Anthropic Agent SDK
  • Exposure to agentic AI patterns — multi-step workflows, tool-use agents, MCP integrations
  • Experience in travel tech, e-commerce, or a fast-moving technology company
  • Exposure to BI tools (Looker, Tableau, Power BI) and working with data teams
  • Background in finance, operations, or product analytics
