Duty Station: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia (with possible field travel Employment Type: One year contract with possibility of extension depending on the performance and availability of funds  Organizational Background:  ODWaCE is a national non-governmental organization committed to promoting the rights and well-being of women, children, adolescents, and youth. The organization implements development and humanitarian programs focusing on gender equality & women empowerment, prevention of HTPs & GBV, inclusive education & health, governance, peace and security, Humanitarian response, evidence generation & advocacy, and community empowerment.    Job Summary:     The officer will contribute to gender mainstreaming across projects, strengthen advocacy initiatives, support resource mobilization efforts, and ensure effective monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning (MEAL) systems for gender-related interventions.    Key Responsibilities     Program Implementation and Gender Mainstreaming   Support the planning, implementation, & coordination of gender & social development programs.  Ensure integration of gender equality and social inclusion principles across organizational projects.  Conduct gender analysis and contribute to gender-responsive project design and implementation.  Provide technical support to project teams to strengthen gender-sensitive programming.  Advocacy and Networking   Contribute to advocacy initiatives that promote gender equality, women’s empowerment, and the elimination of harmful traditional practices.  Engage with government institutions, CSOs, and community stakeholders to promote gender-responsive policies and programs.  Participate in relevant national and regional networks, platforms, and forums related to gender equality and social development.  Resource Mobilization and Proposal Development   Support the identification of funding opportunities related to the development & humanitarian programs develop proposal writing and development of concept notes and project documents.  Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL)   Support the development and implementation of MEAL frameworks for projects.  Collect, analyze, & document gender-disaggregated data & lessons learned from program implementation.  Contribute to periodic progress reports, evaluation processes, & knowledge management activities.  Promote accountability mechanisms & learning processes within development & humanitarian interventions.
