JOB TITLE:  External Auditor (NGO) CATEGORY:  Finance / Audit LOCATION:  4 kilo Selassie building room no 502 CAREER LEVEL:  Mid-level EMPLOYMENT TYPE:  Contract SALARY (Optional):    JOB DESCRIPTION The organization is seeking a qualified and independent External Auditor to conduct an objective audit of its financial statements and operations. The role involves reviewing financial records, ensuring compliance with donor requirements, and providing an unbiased assessment of financial practices. The purpose of this role is to enhance transparency, accountability, and compliance with regulatory and donor standards. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Conduct independent audits of financial statements in accordance with applicable auditing standards. Review NGO financial records, reports, and supporting documents. Assess compliance with donor regulations, government laws, and internal policies. Identify financial discrepancies, risks, and control weaknesses. Evaluate internal control systems and recommend improvements. Verify the proper use of funds in line with project objectives and donor agreements. Prepare and present audit reports with clear findings and recommendations. Ensure transparency, accountability, and adherence to NGO financial guidelines. Provide professional advice on financial management and risk mitigation.   Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Professional certification (ACCA, CPA, or equivalent) is an advantage Minimum of 10–15 years of experience in external auditing, preferably with NGOs Skills Strong knowledge of auditing standards and NGO financial regulations Familiarity with donor-funded project audits High level of integrity, independence, and professionalism Excellent analytical and report-writing skills Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Strong attention to detail and accuracy HOW TO APPLY Interested candidates should submit their CV and relevant credentials via  in person..
