ABOUT OVID GROUP OVID Group is one of Ethiopia's premier construction and development conglomerates, driving large-scale infrastructure, real estate, and national development projects. As part of our 2026 strategic transformation, we have established a new, centralized Project and Performance Council (PPC) to enhance governance, performance monitoring, and execution excellence across our six key subsidiaries: OVID Construction, OVID Real Estate, Kavod Commercial, OVID Road, OVID Aluminum Formwork, and OVID Respan Design. The Council operates with 65 professionals across Leadership, Construction Operations Directorate, and Engineering Services Directorate, including a state-of-the-art Project Control Situation Room. We are seeking highly skilled professionals to join this new council and help us deliver projects that shape the nation. ABOUT THE JOB: As a Portfolio Planning Engineer in the PPMO, you will play a key role in building and maintaining the integrated view of OVID's project portfolio. Working closely with the Portfolio Manager, you will consolidate schedules from various projects and subsidiaries, analyze portfolio-level trends, and support the strategic allocation of resources. Your work will provide the critical intelligence needed to balance priorities and ensure the successful delivery of our entire construction program. Job Summary Location: Addis Ababa Deadline: March 19th, 2026 Career Level: Senior Employment Type: Full-time Number of People Required: 2 Reports to: Portfolio Manager - PPMO Duties and Responsibilities 1. Integrated Schedule Development: Support the development and maintenance of the integrated master portfolio schedule. Collect, validate, and consolidate project-level schedules from various subsidiaries into the portfolio schedule. Ensure consistency in scheduling standards, coding, and reporting across all projects. Maintain the portfolio scheduling database and ensure it is up-to-date. 2. Portfolio Analysis: Analyze portfolio schedules to identify critical path conflicts, resource constraints, and interdependencies between projects. Conduct portfolio-level critical path analysis and identify key milestones across the portfolio. Assist in conducting what-if scenarios and portfolio-level risk analyses. Identify potential resource conflicts (e.g., shared resources, specialized equipment) and flag them for management attention. 3. Reporting & Visualization: Prepare schedule-related inputs for executive portfolio reports and presentations. Create visual representations of portfolio schedules, milestones, and resource demands. Support the development of portfolio dashboards in coordination with the Situation Room team. Prepare regular portfolio schedule updates for the Portfolio Manager. 4. Process Support: Support the PPMO in standardizing scheduling practices across the group. Assist in developing scheduling guidelines and templates for subsidiaries. Provide training and support to project planners on portfolio scheduling requirements. Contribute to the continuous improvement of portfolio planning processes. 5. Collaboration: Liaise with project planners and scheduling engineers across subsidiaries to ensure data accuracy and timeliness. Coordinate with the Situation Room team to ensure seamless data integration. Work with the Portfolio Manager to address scheduling issues and support strategic analysis.
