Head of Furniture Design Department

Position Overview  EB Yes Furniture is seeking a highly experienced, creative, and technically skilled Head of Furniture Design Department to lead our design team and drive innovation in home and office furniture solutions. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership capabilities, advanced design thinking, and comprehensive knowledge of the complete interior design and furniture development process—from concept development and space planning to production documentation and final execution. This role requires a professional who can combine aesthetic vision, technical expertise, manufacturing knowledge, and project coordination to ensure high-quality and marketcompetitive furniture and interior solutions. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Strategy  Lead, supervise, and mentor the furniture and interior design team.  Establish design standards, workflows, and best practices within the department.  Develop design strategies aligned with company brand identity and market trends.  Coordinate design schedules and allocate resources across multiple projects. Design & Development    Lead the full furniture design process including concept development, space planning, detailing, prototyping, and production follow-up. Ensure capability in the full interior design process including concept design, space planning, mood boards and material selection, 3D visualization, technical documentation, and site coordination where required. Oversee preparation of detailed shop drawings and production documentation.  Review and approve design proposals before production. Technical Coordination  Work closely with production teams to ensure design feasibility and quality execution.  Coordinate with sales and marketing teams to align product development with market demand. Ensure proper material selection considering durability, cost efficiency, and sustainability.  Improve existing product lines through technical and aesthetic upgrades. Innovation & Research  Research global furniture and interior design trends.  Introduce innovative materials, finishes, and manufacturing techniques.  Maintain awareness of ergonomic standards and user-centered design principles. Project Management  Manage multiple design projects simultaneously.  Ensure projects meet deadlines, quality standards, and cost targets.  Present design concepts to management and key clients professionally.
