RFP for Development of Training Materials on the Use of AI-Powered Precision Agriculture Platform Insights Ref. No: IRIF/PROC/2026/003

Background The Intelligence, Resilience, Innovative Farming (IRIF) Project is a 12-month initiative implemented by Birrama Digital Commerce PLC and Farm Africa with support from WRI/P4G, deploying an AI-powered precision agriculture platform to 1,500 smallholder farmers across three woredas in Oromia Regional State. The IRIF platform integrates IoT field sensors and satellite remote sensing to generate real-time insights on crop health, soil conditions, water status, and agronomic advisory recommendations, delivered via SMS, USSD, and Telegram in Afaan Oromo and Amharic. To maximize the impact of these technological investments, IRIF must equip its human ecosystem, farmer trainers, project staff, and literate smallholder farmers, with the knowledge and practical skills to understand, interpret, and act on the data and insights produced by the IRIF platform. Well-designed, context-appropriate training materials are essential to bridge the gap between advanced technology and grassroots agricultural practice in Oromia. Objective of this Assignment IRIF invites applications from qualified individual consultants and consulting companies with backgrounds in agriculture, precision agriculture, and agricultural extension to develop a comprehensive, multi-audience training materials package in English. The materials must translate complex AI-generated agronomic insights into practical, accessible, and actionable learning content for three distinct target audiences operating in the Ethiopian smallholder farming context.
