Company: Ethio-Polymers PLC Department: Finance & Accounting Reports To: Finance Manager  Location: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia Ethio-Polymers private limited company has been leading the manufacturing of PVC compound since March 2001 and the largest manufacturer and market leader in PVC compound in Ethiopia. The ultra-manufacturing facility at Tatek Industry Zone is equipped with state-of-the-art-technology, producing a wide range of PVC compounds to meet our customer’s requirement 1. Job Summary The Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing the company accounting operations, ensuring accuracy of financial records, managing compliance with Ethiopian tax regulations, and preparing timely financial reports. The role supports strategic decision-making by providing reliable financial data and maintaining strong internal controls within a manufacturing environment. 2. Key Duties and Responsibilities A. Financial Accounting & Reporting Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Ensure accurate and timely closing of accounts. Supervise general ledger activities and journal entries. Review and approve payment vouchers and accounting documents. Prepare management financial reports and analysis. B. Budgeting & Cost Control Assist in preparation of annual budgets and forecasts. Monitor production costs, raw materials, and overhead expenses. Conduct variance analysis and recommend cost control measures. Support product costing and inventory valuation. C. Tax & Compliance Ensure timely preparation and submission of VAT, withholding tax, payroll tax, and other statutory reports. Maintain compliance with Ethiopian tax laws and financial regulations. Coordinate external audits and respond to audit queries. D. Cash Flow & Financial Management Monitor company cash flow and liquidity. Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions. Conduct regular bank reconciliations and financial reviews. E. Internal Control & Supervision Establish and maintain internal control systems. Supervise and guide Junior Accountants and finance staff. Ensure proper documentation and record keeping. Improve accounting procedures and financial systems. Working Conditions Office-based with frequent coordination with production and warehouse departments. May be required to support audits, stock counts, and financial inspections. Salary - Negotiable.
