System Maintenance officer

Location/Duty Station: Benishangul-Gumuz Region, Asosa Zone, Kurmuk Woreda

• Project Site Roster: Fly-In/Fly-Out (6 Weeks On / 2 Weeks Off) Employment Type: Full-Time | Site-Based About the Role KGM is searching for a System Maintenance Officer with significant experience to be responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and monitoring of all technical security infrastructure. This role must ensure that surveillance, access control, and alarm systems operate optimally to protect company assets, personnel, and ore from theft or damage, who’s duties will include but are not limited to the following: Technical Maintenance:   Inspect, maintain, and repair surveillance equipment (cameras, drones), alarms, access control readers, turnstiles, and vehicle booms. Monitoring and Evaluation:   Perform weekly system audits and testing to evaluate system effectiveness. Hardware Troubleshooting:  Provide support for hardware and software issues, including network connectivity, cable repairs, and power backups (UPS). Installation & Upgrades :  Manage the installation of new security systems, including fibre optics and network infrastructure. Reporting & Documentation:   Compile detailed reports on system performance, maintenance, and repairs. Vendor Management:   Liaise with external suppliers for technical equipment and manage SLAs Environmental Adaptability:  Equipment must be maintained against extreme dust, humidity, vibrations, and temperature variations. Area Coverage:  Managing security across large, open-air, and often remote locations. Integration:  Ensuring security systems integrate with other mining operations, such as vehicle collision awareness or personnel tracking.
