ABOUT OVID GROUP OVID Group is one of Ethiopia's premier construction and development conglomerates, driving large-scale infrastructure, real estate, and national development projects. As part of our 2026 strategic transformation, we have established a new, centralized Project and Performance Council (PPC) to enhance governance, performance monitoring, and execution excellence across our six key subsidiaries: OVID Construction, OVID Real Estate, Kavod Commercial, OVID Road, OVID Aluminum Formwork, and OVID Respan Design. The Council operates with 65 professionals across Leadership, Construction Operations Directorate, and Engineering Services Directorate, including a state-of-the-art Project Control Situation Room. We are seeking highly skilled professionals to join this new council and help us deliver projects that shape the nation. ABOUT THE JOB: The Project Data Integration Engineer is the technical architect responsible for building the data pipelines that feed the Situation Room. Reporting to the Situation Room Manager, you will design and implement the systems that extract data from various source systems (project management softSituatione, ERP, spreadsheets, etc.), transform it, and load it into our central data repository. Your work is foundational to the Situation Room's success, ensuring that decision-makers have access to accurate, timely, and consolidated information. Job Summary Location:  Addis Ababa Deadline:  March 19th, 2026 Career Level:  Mid-Level / Senior Employment Type:  Full-time Number of People Required:  1 Reports to:  Situation Room Manager Duties and Responsibilities 1. ETL Pipeline Development: Design, develop, and maintain robust ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to integrate data from diverse source systems (Primavera P6, ERP, Excel, etc.) into a central Situation Room data repository. Write efficient, maintainable code for data extraction, transformation, and loading. Schedule and monitor ETL jobs to ensure timely data delivery. Implement error handling and data validation within ETL processes. 2. Data Infrastructure Management: Build and manage the Situation Room's data infrastructure, including databases and data Situationehouses. Optimize database performance for query and reporting workloads. Implement data security and access controls. Manage data storage, backup, and recovery procedures. 3. Data Quality & Governance: Monitor data pipelines to ensure data quality, integrity, and timely delivery. Implement data validation and quality checks at various stages of the ETL process. Troubleshoot and resolve data integration issues, working with source system owners as needed. Document data lineage, transformations, and data definitions. 4. Collaboration: Work with source system owners (e.g., IT, project teams, finance) to understand data structures and ensure reliable data feeds. Collaborate with the Dashboard Engineer and Data Analyst to understand data requirements and ensure the repository meets their needs. Coordinate with the IT department on infrastructure and security matters. Provide technical support to the Situation Room team on data-related issues. 5. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve data integration processes, performance, and reliability. Stay current with developments in data integration tools and technologies. Recommend new tools, technologies, or approaches to enhance data integration capabilities.
