Senior Accountant

Job Summary We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Accountant to oversee financial operations, ensure compliance with Ethiopian financial regulations, and provide strategic financial guidance. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in financial reporting, tax compliance, and internal controls within the organization. Key Responsibilities • Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with Ethiopian accounting standards and IFRS • Oversee accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger functions • Ensure compliance with tax regulations set by the Ethiopian Ministry of Revenues • Prepare and submit VAT, withholding tax, and income tax reports • Lead month-end and year-end closing processes • Conduct financial analysis and provide strategic recommendations • Manage and supervise junior accounting staff • Coordinate internal and external audits • Maintain proper documentation and financial records • Monitor cash flow and budgeting processes
