This position will be based in different districts/woredas under our field office. Final candidates will be added to the roster and will be contacted right away when an emergency response arises.  Background: The International Rescue Committee, one of the world’s largest humanitarian international NGOs, provides relief, rehabilitation, and development support to vulnerable people and communities in over 30 countries. We began work in Ethiopia in 2000 in response to severe drought in Ethiopia’s Somali region and are currently providing assistance to Ethiopians and refugees in six regions in Ethiopia, implementing emergency and development programs in health, water and sanitation, economic recovery and development (ERD), women’s protection and empowerment, education, child protection, and multi-sectoral emergency response.  The IRC has a focus on narrowing the gender gap in humanitarian aid and ensuring that we contribute to gender equality, diversity, and inclusion in both our programs and operations by working to establish a context where our clients (including those from minority groups) enjoy the same rights and opportunities as well as equal access to services. Job Overview:  The MHNT-Clinical Nurse/ officer is responsible for proper implementation of Emergency Health and Nutrition response project at woreda level, focusing on host community and IDPs site medical consultation, health education, counseling and will monitor targeted health facilities at the project implementation areas. Moreover, they will work closely with MHNT Leader and Integrate the health care services with woreda health office to enhance their participation and involvement in prevention, awareness creation and capacity enhancement of woreda based government health staff (Nurse, Midwife, public health officer & HEWs) and S/he will provide ongoing technical support.  This position will be based at different woreda under our field office and will directly report to the MHNT Leader. Major Responsibilities:  The candidate will be responsible for all tasks related to the MHNT’s responsibility. Responsible for team planning movement and ensure all service package components of the MHNT are delivered.  They are specifically responsible for adult and under five-year medical consultation and nutrition service package and overall surveillance and HMIS/DHIS2 tools.  Responsible for all supplies related issues (In/Out & stock balance) & timely flag of shortage.  Responsible for vehicle utilization, administrative management including fuel & travel.  Attend necessary meetings within the woreda during emergencies, planning, responding, and monitoring.  Report on drug consumption rate, weekly drug report, surveillance report. Verify, compile, and share complete timely reports to woreda accordingly.  Early communicate any shortfalls (programmatic and administrative issues to MHNT Leaders &/or supporting partners)  Perform any other related duties as required.      Safeguarding Responsibilities: -. Promote and actively participate in initiatives and efforts to establish team engagement, inclusion and cohesion in IRC [team/office] Develop ongoing learning, honest dialogue and reflection to strengthen safeguarding and to promote IRC values and adherence to IRC policies.
