The hospital is committed to excellence in patient care, professional training, and strengthening the health system in Ethiopia. Purpose of the Position To lead and manage the pharmacy department, ensuring safe, effective, and rational use of medicines, compliance with Ethiopian national standards, and addressing existing gaps in supply chain, reporting, and accountability. The role also includes strengthening the functionality of the already established Drug and Therapeutics Committee (DTC). Key Responsibilities Provide strategic leadership and oversight of the pharmacy department. Supervise pharmacy staff, storekeepers, supply chain officers, and technicians. Ensure timely and accurate submission of RRFs to EPSS and strengthen IFRR reporting. Monitor pharmaceutical performance indicators and implement risk mitigation measures. Guarantee accurate documentation in Open Hospital and Open ERP systems. Prevent stock outs, manage inventory, and ensure timely disposal of expired drugs. Support rational drug use through counseling, ward rounds, and drug information services. Collaborate with PFSS, Oromia Health Bureau, EPSS, and partner organizations. Ensure compliance with EFDA regulations and strengthen the Drug and Therapeutics Committee.
