Senior Accountant

Patchee Food Manufacturing PLC is a confectionery manufacturing company specializing in the production of a wide variety of chocolates. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant who will play a critical role in overseeing financial operations, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and supporting strategic decision-making within the company. This full-time position, based in our Addis Ababa office, requires a professional with 5-6 years of experience in accounting and finance. The Senior Accountant will prepare balance sheets, income statements, and financial forecasts, contributing to the overall financial health of the organization. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including balance sheets and income statements. Develop and analyze financial forecasts and budgets to support strategic planning. Ensure compliance with accounting principles and standards, including IFRS. Analyze and prepare Tax reporting documents along with other team members. Utilize accounting software such as Peachtree and QuickBooks for efficient financial reporting. Conduct financial analysis and reporting to identify trends and variances. Implement cost management strategies to enhance profitability. Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders. Coordinate with auditors during financial audits to ensure accuracy and compliance. Monitor and manage accounts payable and receivable to optimize cash flow. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and accounting teams to support financial decision-making.
