Plant Manager

Purpose of the Role Responsible for overall plant operations including production, quality assurance, maintenance, safety, cost control, and export compliance to ensure efficient and profitable operations. Main Objective To achieve production targets while maintaining food safety, quality standards, and export requirements. Key Responsibilities Production Management Plan and oversee daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules. Ensure production targets are achieved efficiently. Monitor raw material usage and minimize waste. Improve plant productivity and reduce downtime. Supervise shift management and manpower allocation. Quality Management Ensure compliance with HACCP, ISO 22000, GMP, and export standards. Oversee quality control processes and inspections. Ensure hygiene and sanitation standards are maintained. Lead internal and external audits. Handle customer complaints related to product quality. Maintenance Management Ensure preventive and corrective maintenance programs are implemented. Minimize equipment breakdowns and downtime. Coordinate with mechanical and electrical teams. Approve maintenance planning and equipment upgrades. Export & Supply Coordination Coordinate production schedules with export deadlines. Ensure packaging meets international export standards. Work with the logistics team for shipment planning. Coordinate with procurement to ensure raw material availability. Cost Control & Reporting Monitor and control operational costs. Reduce material wastage and improve yield. Prepare plant operational budgets. Submit monthly performance reports to management. Team Leadership Lead supervisors, engineers, and production staff. Ensure discipline and adherence to company policies. Conduct staff performance evaluations. Identify training needs and support employee development. Promote teamwork and safe work culture. Safety & Compliance Ensure workplace safety compliance. Implement accident prevention measures. Ensure environmental regulation compliance. Lead safety committee meetings.
