Mission: To deliver high-quality, independent, and ethical audit and assurance services in compliance with International Standards on Auditing (ISA) and Ethiopian regulations, promoting transparency, accountability, and sustainable business growth. 2. Job Summary The Business Development Officer (BDO) will drive initiatives to expand the firm’s client base, increase revenue, and strengthen market visibility across audit, assurance, IFRS advisory, and tax consulting services. The role includes identifying business opportunities, nurturing client relationships, preparing proposals, and ensuring compliance with Ethiopian accounting, auditing, and tax regulations. 3. Key Responsibilities A. Business Growth & Strategy Develop and implement annual business development plans aligned with the firm’s growth objectives. Identify target clients across banking, insurance, NGOs, manufacturing, and trading sectors. · Explore opportunities for IFRS conversion services, audit, tax advisory, and internal audit engagements. Conduct competitor and market research to inform strategy. B. Client Acquisition & Proposal Management Lead the preparation of technical and financial proposals for prospective clients. Coordinate with audit, tax, and advisory teams to ensure proposal accuracy and completeness. Ensure timely submission of proposals and attend bid hearings/presentations. Maintain a proposal tracking system to monitor success rates, client feedback, and follow-ups. Analyze outcomes to improve future business development strategies, pricing, and technical content. Participate in tender submissions and contract negotiations. C. Relationship Management Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing clients. Conduct client satisfaction follow-ups and identify cross-selling opportunities. Collaborate with audit partners and technical teams to ensure quality service delivery. D. Regulatory & Compliance Awareness ·Stay updated on regulatory requirements, including: AABE licensing and professional requirements Ethiopian Ministry of Revenue compliance obligations IFRS adoption and reporting standards in Ethiopia Ensure all business development activities comply with professional ethics and independence rules. E. Branding & Marketing Develop and maintain firm profiles, capability statements, and marketing materials. Support the firm’s online presence through website content and social media campaigns. Promote IFRS training programs, workshops, and client seminars. F. Revenue & Performance Targets Achieve annual revenue growth and client acquisition targets. Maintain an updated business pipeline tracker. Provide monthly and quarterly business development reports to the Managing Partner. 4.
