Description

Co-ordinate the development of health & safety policies, systems of work and procedures.  Ensure that all Health & Safety policies, procedures, rules and regulations are adhered to and are regularly reviewed, updated and communicated.  Ensure the Company meets its statutory obligations in all areas pertaining to health, safety and welfare at work, including statutory training and reporting.  Ensure the completion and regular review of risk assessments for all work equipment and operations.  Investigating/recording incidents, accidents, complaints and cases of ill health and safety.  Ensure that safety inspections are carried out, fire drills and fire alarms are correctly reported, safety inspections, risk assessments and lone working procedures are managed, and employees are aware of their responsibilities.  Ensure a safe workplace environment without risk to health and safety of staff. Ensure full and accurate health and safety and training records are maintained.  Establish a full program me of documented health & safety inspections, audits and checks.  Establish a structured programmed of health & safety training throughout the Company.  Liaise with external health & safety consultants in the provision of training programms and health and safety services.  Manage and devise the agenda for, chair and formulate & distribute minutes for the Health & Safety Committee meetings.  Ensure that all agreed action points are completed within deadlines.  Keep up to date with all aspects of relevant health, safety & welfare at work legislation and communicate relevant changes to the business.  Participate in monthly meetings when required to report on relevant health & safety matters.  Liaise with suppliers i.e. Insurers, solicitors etc any other reasonable duties which may be required by management from time to time.  Auditing production, keeping on the lookout for any unsafe behavior or breaks in regulations  Assessing risk and possible safety hazards of all aspects of operations  Creating analytical reports of safety data  Inspecting production equipment and processes to make sure they are safe  Carry out detail Job Safety Analysis (JSA)of high-risk jobs  Focusing on prevention by keeping up with equipment maintenance and employee training  Participating in continuing education to update knowledge of health and safety protocols and techniques  Meeting company health and safety goals  Liaising with law enforcement and other investigators who are present at the time of a serious accident  Finding the best way to prevent future accidents  Reviewing and reporting on the staff's compliance with health and safety rules and recommending commendations or dismissal based on performance  providing health and safety meetings and training courses for employees  Creating safety plans that include suggested improvements to existing infrastructure and business processes  Reviewing and reporting on the staff's compliance with health and safety rules and recommending commendations or dismissal based on performance  Give safety Induction for new joining employees.  Prepare Health safety and environmental report for management monthly /Annual or as required. Determining whether the finished product is safe for customers  Adheres to and be guided by the collective labor agreement, internal regulations, and other company policies. Carry out other related duties assigned to him from immediate & higher supervisor
