We design and deploy risk decisioning systems, intelligent financial infrastructure, and market linkage platforms that unlock credit, insurance, payments, and capital access for MSMEs and smallholder farmers. We build the AI, data, and financial infrastructure that helps financial institutions serve hard-to-finance segments at scale.   Business Unit Description     The Chief Shariah Financial Solutions Office (CSFSO) is responsible for deg, governing, and scaling Kifiya’s Shari’ah-compliant financial infrastructure and ecosystem platforms. The Office develops digitally enabled Islamic financial solutions that allow partner financial institutions, marketplaces, and ecosystem actors to deploy Shariah compliant, asset-backed, and ethically structured financing at scale. Leveraging Kifiya’s AI technology platforms, the Office structures and commercializes Shari’ah-compliant financial products and market solutions across areas such as SME and supply-chain finance, asset and device financing, embedded finance, marketplace ecosystems, and emerging Takaful and Islamic capital market instruments. The Office also institutionalizes the governance frameworks, financial structuring capabilities, and market infrastructure required to support the sustainable growth of Islamic finance within Kifiya’s ecosystem. By integrating Shari’ah governance, aligning with international standards such as AAOIFI and IFSB, and enabling ecosystem-wide deployment, the Office advances inclusive financial access and scalable Shari’ah-compliant financing solutions for SMEs, agricultural value chains, women and youth enterprises, and digital marketplace participants Position Summary     The Manager, Takaful Solutions is responsible for the design, structuring, integration, and commercialization of Shari’ah-compliant risk protection solutions across Kifiya’s financial ecosystem. The role establishes the risk-sharing architecture of the Shari’ah Financial Solutions platform, ensuring that all financing activities across MSME, agriculture, asset financing, and marketplace ecosystems are supported by sustainable, compliant, and digitally embedded Takaful mechanisms. The Manager translates Islamic insurance principles into scalable, technology-enabled solutions that enhance portfolio resilience, customer protection, and institutional partner confidence, while ensuring alignment with Shari’ah governance standards and risk sustainability frameworks. Key Responsibilities      Takaful Product Structuring and Architecture •    Design and standardize Takaful models including: o    General Takaful (asset and device protection) o    Credit Takaful (financing protection) o    Agricultural and climate Takaful o    Family Takaful (where applicable) o    Hybrid Wakalah and Mudarabah-based structures •    Define participant risk pools, surplus distribution mechanisms, and operator fee models. •    Translate Shari’ah rulings into operational Takaful product frameworks, contracts, and documentation standards. •    Ensure compliance with AAOIFI standards and globally accepted Shari’ah governance practices. Integration with Financing Platforms •    Embed Takaful solutions across financing structures including: o    Murabaha and Ijarah financing o    Salam-based agricultural finance o    Asset and device financing o    Marketplace and embedded finance transactions •    Ensure seamless bundling of financing and protection products within digital workflows. •    Align Takaful contribution models with financing structures and customer affordability. Risk Pool Design and Sustainability •    Design diversified and sustainable Takaful risk pools aligned with portfolio characteristics. •    Collaborate with Risk and Analytics teams to: o    Model expected losses and claims behavior o    Monitor claims ratios and pool performance o    Forecast surplus/deficit scenarios •    Ensure long-term sustainability of Takaful funds while maintaining Shari’ah integrity. Institutional and Strategic Partnerships •    Develop and manage partnerships with: o    Takaful operators and insurance providers o    Re-Takaful institutions o    Agricultural and climate risk insurers o    Capital providers seeking risk mitigation structures •    Support institutional partnership teams in embedding Takaful within financial institution offerings. •    Participate in structuring partnership agreements and operational frameworks. Digital Integration and Infrastructure Enablement •    Ensure Takaful processes are fully embedded within Kifiya’s digital infrastructure including: o    Policy issuance and contribution tracking o    Claims processing and settlement workflows o    Risk monitoring and reporting systems •    Work with Technology teams to enable: o    Automated claims processing o    Real-time dashboards and analytics o    Audit traceability and compliance monitoring •    Integrate Takaful solutions within marketplace platforms such as Halal Gebeya. Shari’ah Governance and Compliance •    Work closely with the Shari’ah governance function to ensure certification and compliance of all Takaful products. •    Maintain documentation of Shari’ah rulings, contracts, and governance frameworks. •    Support Shari’ah audits and ensure timely resolution of compliance findings. •    Ensure transparency in participant agreements and risk-sharing disclosures. Commercialization and Performance Management •    Develop go-to-market strategies for Takaful solutions across financing verticals. •    Drive adoption through embedded product strategies rather than standalone offerings. •    Monitor key performance indicators including: o    Contribution volumes o    Claims ratios o    Risk pool sustainability o    Customer adoption rates •    Continuously refine pricing, segmentation, and structuring models. Market Intelligence and Innovation •    Monitor global and regional Takaful trends and regulatory developments. •    Identify opportunities for: o    Micro-Takaful and inclusive protection models o    Climate and parametric Takaful solutions o    Digitally enabled low-ticket insurance products •    Support innovation aligned with Africa’s emerging Islamic finance ecosystem.
