  • December 31, 2026(with possible extension)   About the Project   YMCA Ethiopia, in partnership with Cheshire Ethiopia (CE) and funded by Liliane Fonds (LF), implements BEN Ethiopia for frontline CBR support to CYWDs in target communities.  1. Position Summary The CBR Worker is the frontline implementer of the BEN Ethiopia programme, responsible for direct outreach to children and youth with disabilities (CYWDs) and their families within the project's target communities. The CBR Worker conducts home visits, registers and supports Right- Holders, implements community-based rehabilitation activities, facilitates inclusion in education, health, and livelihood services, and promotes the rights and participation of persons with disabilities within their communities. This is a full-time, project-dedicated role at 100% Level of Effort. The CBR Worker reports to and is supervised by the CBR Supervisor.   2. Key Duties and Responsibilities 2.1 Community Outreach and Beneficiary Identification   Conduct systematic community outreach and door-to-door visits to identify children and youth with disabilities and their caregivers within the assigned catchment area. Register eligible Right- Holders using CE's standardized registration forms, collecting accurate disaggregated data (gender, age, disability type). Sensitize community members, families, and local leaders about the project's objectives, available services, and disability rights. Maintain an up-to-date community map and beneficiary register for the assigned area. 2.2 Home Visits and Direct Support Conduct regular scheduled home visits to registered Right- Holders according to the approved visit plan. Assess the functional needs and living conditions of CYWDs and develop or support individual activity plans in consultation with the CBR Supervisor. Deliver basic community-based rehabilitation support, including simple exercises, adaptive equipment guidance, and caregiver training as directed by the CBR Supervisor. Facilitate family involvement in the rehabilitation and inclusion of their children with disabilities. Monitor and document changes in Right- Holders' functional abilities, participation, and well-being over time. 2.3 Activity Implementation Implement project activities across all five CBR domains as assigned: Health and Rehabilitation, Inclusive Education, Inclusive Livelihoods, Social Inclusion and Empowerment, and CBR Coordination. Support the enrolment and retention of children with disabilities in inclusive education programs. Facilitate access to health services, assistive devices, and rehabilitation referrals for Right- Holders. Assist youth with disabilities to access livelihood opportunities, vocational training, and self-help group activities. Organize and facilitate community-level awareness events, group activities, and family support sessions. 2.4 Data Collection and Reporting Complete all data collection forms, attendance records, home visit logs, and activity reports accurately and on time using CE's standardized tools. Submit completed data forms and monthly activity reports to the CBR Supervisor by the agreed deadline. Contribute to the documentation of beneficiary stories and case studies, ensuring informed consent is obtained from parents or caretakers. Participate in team meetings, supervision sessions, and monitoring visits as required. 2.5 Safeguarding Adhere strictly to CE's Child Safeguarding Policy, PSEA Policy, and Code of Conduct in all interactions with Right- Holders, families, and community members. Immediately report any safeguarding concern, incident, or suspicion to the CBR Supervisor or Safeguarding Focal Person. Obtain informed consent from parents or caretakers before collecting photos, personal data, or stories involving children
