Role and responsibilities The purpose of the Cash & Market Technical Officer position is to assist in the day-to-day implementation of the Cash and Markets projects. He/she is responsible for managing cash-based interventions (CBIs), market assessments, price monitoring, and efficient implementation of all Cash and Market projects in the area of operations. Generic responsibilities Ensure adherence with NRC policies, tools, handbooks and guidelines Implement and monitor Cash and Markets project implementation according to plan of action Prepare and develop progress reports as required by management Ensure proper filing of documents Ensure that projects target beneficiaries most in need, and explore and assess new and better ways to assist through Cash and Market Promote and share ideas for technical improvement Specific responsibilities Prepares and monitor a work/action plan for the Cash and Markets projects with the relevant staff. Assist Cash and Markets PM with verification of beneficiaries. Assist Cash and Markets PM and M&E Team with development of post-distribution monitoring reports. Work closely with the Finance team to ensure all documentation pertaining to the cash programme is properly done and stored securely. Draft a weekly situation report on Cash and Markets activities. Assist the Cash and Markets PM in drafting minutes of meetings, translation. Assist the Cash and Markets PM in drafting reports. Assist the Cash and Markets PM in coordinating with the other NRC departments e.g., finance, logistics, M&E, risk and compliance. Carry out Reconciliation of Deliverables per project. Conduct market assessments (price monitoring, supply chain mapping, vendor capacity). Collaborate with program teams to conduct regular cash risks analysis and ensure market-based approaches are contextually relevant. Provide any kind of assistance to the Cash and Markets program, based on needs identified and assignments delegated.
