The organization specializes in the supply, distribution, export, installation, and after-sales services across various strategic industries, adhering to international quality standards. The company participates in bids/tenders to provide governmental and non-governmental organizations with various equipment such as industrial machineries, ICT infrastructure products, construction machineries, electromechanical machineries and office technology products. We are looking for a highly strategic, detail-oriented, and results-driven Head of Tender Unit to lead and manage the company’s tendering function. The ideal candidate is a strong planner and coordinator with deep understanding of bid processes, capable of ensuring high-quality submissions, competitive positioning, and consistent win rates in a fast-paced tender environment. Position Summary The Head of Tender Unit is responsible for leading, coordinating, and managing the full tender lifecycle from opportunity identification to submission. The role ensures that all bids are compliant, competitive, technically sound, and financially viable. The position requires close coordination with technical teams, finance, suppliers, and management to deliver high-quality submissions within strict deadlines. The Head of Tender Unit plays a key role in increasing Lennox Trading’s bid success rate and strengthening its positioning in priority sectors. The Tender unit head will lead bid specialists and bid officers under the department Key Responsibilities Identify and evaluate tender opportunities aligned with company strategy. Develop bid/no-bid analysis and present recommendations to management. Prepare annual and quarterly tender pipeline plans. Create and maintain relationship with suppliers for efficient equipment sourcing Ensure product specification compliance for all project Develop competitive pricing methods in collaboration with finance and suppliers. Develop and manage Lennox Trading’s corporate communication calendar. Lead end-to-end preparation of tender documents. Review technical specifications and coordinate technical proposal development. Ensure compliance with all administrative, legal, and financial requirements. Prepare and review commercial proposals and cost breakdowns. Ensure timely and accurate submission of bids. Maintain a tender submission checklist and compliance control system. Coordinate with the Executive Assistant to track deadlines and reporting. Follow up on tender clarifications and post-submission communications. Ensure smooth handover of awarded projects to the Fulfilment Unit. Maintain organized tender documentation (physical and digital). Develop and update a tender tracking dashboard. Prepare monthly tender performance reports (submitted, won, lost, pipeline). Analyze lost bids and document lessons learned for improvement. Improve templates for technical and financial proposals. Build a structured knowledge database of past bids and pricing references.
