HSA CCTV OPERATOR

BACKGROUND Kurmuk Gold Mine Plc (KGM) is a subsidiary of Allied Gold Corp, a company listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange, with mining operations in multiple countries including Ethiopia, Mali, and Côte d'Ivoire. KGM holds a Large-Scale Gold Mining License and three Exploration Licenses for its Ethiopian project. These licenses are located in western Ethiopia, approximately 750 km from Addis Ababa and about 90 km northwest of Assosa, in the Benishangul-Gumuz Regional State. KGM is currently engaged in both mine development and exploration activities at the site.  Employment condition: Full-time (Permanent after probation period). Location/duty station: Benshangul Gumuz, Asosa Zone, Kurmuk Woreda Project Site - Fly In/Fly out roster (6/2weeks) THE ROLE: KGM is searching for a number of HSA CCTV Operators to act as the central, real-time guardian of the KGM site, responsible for protecting personnel, high-value assets and infrastructure by using advanced surveillance technology. This role serves as a first line of defence to detect, analyze, and escalate security breaches, safety incidents, and operational bottlenecks across the mining area,  KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Continuous Surveillance & Monitoring: Monitoring multiple CCTV feeds covering high-risk areas, including high-value storage, entry/exit points, and operational zones (e.g., pit, crusher, plant). Conducting active, targeted surveillance of perimeter intrusion detection systems and access points to prevent unauthorized entry, including artisinal (illegal miner) activities. Maintaining high vigilance and concentration to detect suspicious behavior, body language, or operational anomalies (e.g., unauthorized vehicle movement). Incident Response & Escalation: Promptly identifying security incidents, safety breaches, or operational disruptions (e.g., accidents, fires) and initiate immediate, appropriate action. Dispatching security personnel to incident scenes and provide real-time intelligence on scene conditions. Cooperating with internal security teams, law enforcement, and site management to handle emergencies or criminal activity. Access Control and Resource Protection: Monitoring access control systems and verify personnel or vehicles at high-security points. Controlling and monitoring the movement of contractors and visitors, ensuring authorization before entry. Tracking vehicles of special interest and monitor adherence to designated routes. System Operation & Maintenance: Operating and managing CCTV systems (e.g., HIK Central, PTZ cameras) to ensure optimal functionality. Conducting daily checks on equipment performance and reporting any technical failures immediately. Ensuring all cameras are recording correctly and that the system is properly maintained. Reporting & Administration: Maintaining accurate, detailed logs of shift observations and incident reports in the occurrence book. Reviewing and retrieving recorded footage for investigations, ensuring proper chain of custody for evidence. Adhering to strict confidentiality and data protection laws.
